Headlamp upgrade options...
Headlamp upgrade options...
..what's really out there?
My lenses aren't foggy or hazed over but I'm tired of the weak, dull light. I was going to go HID but saw a few in person and the beam pattern SUCKED and was really dangerous for other drivers on the road.
Any options you guys either have tried or read about? Even if it's just a simple bulb replacement.
Thanks!!

Re: Headlamp upgrade options...
I simply swapped out the stock 55w bulbs with 80w replacements.

Mind you, those pics are with my '96 with sealed beam.
I have pics of about 12 other bulbs, but they look more or less the same as those on the page.
For the money, the 80 watts are the best.

Heres a link to bulb replacement. Its pretty straight forward, and Ive done it to my car. I like the results, esp for the money saved doing it my self.

Re: Headlamp upgrade options...
i suggest this headlight wire harness upgrade
and these 9005/9006 high watt bulbs (make sure to pick the 100w version in the drop box).
they are not as white as some bulbs, but put out alot of light. and best of all they are inexpensive enough to change your mind later without being out alot of money.
they also offer a tinted version, which is more white. never tried them. more expensive, but probably would work well.
htey also offer the fog light versions, so all your bulbs look the same.
hope this helps.
for the price it's a nice way to upgrade the lights.
