Do headers really change the sound of exhaust with an aftermarket exhaust already having been installed? Will it change the tone or just the volume of it? Just been curious of this.

 

yeah it will deff. change the sound..give it more of a deep tone and when u down shift it sounds badass

I just helped a friend with a 96 z28 do slp shorty's, he kept the stock y-pipe do to emissions and low on money issues. He has a Magnaflow cat-back and it def. changed the sound. It eliminated a little of the raspy stuff at high rpm and gave it a little louder deeper note.

 

Oh and off topic.....Blue do you like the Lakewood LCA'S? I just bought some and I haven't got an opinion on them yet. Thanks.

 

its tough to explain the difference..i just got my headers put on. all i can say is it gives the engine more of a roar-like tone
