You can just replace the bad one if the other side is ok. You don't need any sealer on the gasket. Make sure you use thread sealer on the bolts and high temp rtv on the front and rear sides of the intake.

thanks

do you think that head gasket sealer called "steel seal or themagasket" works. you poor it into the radiator and it supposed to seal leaking head gaskets.

Sometimes it works but instead of mucking up your cooling system with mechanic in a can solutions, you should fix it right.

head gasket

If you have gone through all that trouble of pulling one head, you are 3/4 of the way to getting the other one off also. Replace both and be done with it. They were both installed at the same time from the factory, now one is bad, how long before the other gives out? As far as quick fixes, It is hard enough to keep the cooling systems operating properly without any gunk added to them. Good luck.
