I have a strange squeeking noise that sounds like a cricket usually when im stopped at a light. It comes from the rear of the car and originally i though it could be my cats or something exhaust mouting related. I checked everything and it all looks good so that unlikely. My dad however suggested that its my hatch and that does seem logical. My hatch was broken by the previous owner and it was replaced with new glass, new spoiler, and new hatch itself.

I was wondering if i can do anything to stop this squeeking, it is a very annoying sound. Does anyone know what i could try and if this really is a hatch noise?

 

could be the hatch struts creaking...sounds like crickets!!!
alot of us have it....try to grease them, or just buy new ones

 

I have this issue too, what type of grease do you use?

 

Latches for the fold down back seat, Mine drove me nuts with the squeaking for months before I figured out what it was.

Put the back seat down, and see if it goes away, if it does a little grease on the pins quiets it right down
