Hatch opens when door opens?

I have a 95 z and when you open or close the door the hatch opens or if you put it in reverse or drive it opens. I know I can just unhook the electrical connectors. But anyone have an idea why it does this?

When your in drive or reverse the hatch pop should be disabled. maybe youve got the button wires backwards or pinched somewhere.
