Grease gun questions

Screw type air purge valve. Uses standard 3 oz. cartridges or bulk fill.
Thats the description for it, so I cant just put the little prothane packets in it?
The grease I got for the poly bushings is a urethane grease and says its good for suspension stuff. So I should look for urethane based greases in a 3oz cartrige? is there only one size 3oz cartrige?
