Good deal?

Thinking of trading my 96 Eclipse Gs-turbo for 95 Z-28

FOR THIS

This is what the guy says.
Most of the problems are cosmetic, like they had a bra on the front that beat the crap out of the paint, the paint is peeling on the tops of the doors and roof between the t-tops, the dash is cracked, and the paint just plain looks faded. It has a oil leak from the rear main which nighthawk said was causing the clutch to slip at high rpms, but I never noticed it, and it doesnt use hardly any oil. The tranny could use reverse syncro replaced, but it still works good, just have to hold it in reverse. I think thats everything. Like I said, its ugly, but it's pretty quick considering the mods done to it. Plus it has 295/50/16 rubber on the back, which IMO, just plain looks badass. Still leaves a nice set of black marks tho
I've got a few, just pm me your email addy, and I could take some more pics tomorrow. It has a few extras that are going with it, but not installed yet, such as 4.56 gears, and 1.6 gold series roller rockers. Ran a 13.9 so far with minor mods, even stock exhaust manifolds. Pretty cool car, just needs a good paintjob
Any input?

Re: Good deal?

cars in my mind worth 3600-4000 but the tranny id be worried bout might need rebuild. and rear mail seal fix, might end up costly, with addition of new clutch...
and the tires arent that big, at least ive never heard of any that wide on 16

Re: Good deal?

Just sell your Eclipse and find a car that has less problems. You'd be surprised what deals you can find out there. Personally, I think you would be running into someone else's problems.

Re: Good deal?

your eclipse is a lot nicer... but if you want to sell it for a z or t/a, you can find something much better.

I had trouble selling my talon outright... so after a couple of months of looking around (while trying to sell my talon) i decided to just trade it in. Dealer gave me 5k for my talon and i bought the z i have now and the only problem I have had has been a crapped out fuel pump. Everything else... I have caused...

Re: Good deal?

The f-body in question looks a little rough around the edges. Your Eclipse looks like it is in very good shape and well taken care of. I would stick with what you got.

Re: Good deal?

I think it's all been said. Nice Eclipse. If that F-bod is your only choice, i wouldn't do it. There's nicer examples out there.
