Gaskets

Anyone know how much replacement gaskets for pacesetter LT's are? Do I have to order their gasket, or will I be able to get one from an autoparts store? Thanks.

Re: Gaskets

I would use something other than the Pacesetter gaskets which are crap in my opinion. My friend and I just finished a LT install on his LS1 and we used Felpros with Stage 8 Locking bolts. No problems whatsover with these gaskets. I also am using Felpros on my Pacesetter LTs on my LT1 motor and they seal beautifully. You can get them from Summit or Jegs for around twenty bucks.

Re: Gaskets

Good info, thanks alot. I just picked up some locking bolts, mine drew out 4 times and I think it wasted my gasket in the process.

Re: Gaskets

Thats exactly what happened to my friends LS1. He got lazy about checking the tightness of the bolts, they loosened, and he wasted his passenger side header gasket while his car was getting a dynotune.

Re: Gaskets

I've had good luck with the Mr. Gasket copper gaskets at the heads, and Percy's dead soft aluminum at the collectors. Also used the Stage 8's and the ARP header bolts with good results. I'd like to try the Breslin header bolts.... they look like the "ultimate solution".
