Gas Mileage of your LT1/LS1 car?
Re: Gas Mileage of your LT1/LS1 car?
I average around 24 mpg in my '97 RS (all stock). Most of it's highway, but I'm still doing 70-75 mph the whole time. Plus, it's an automatic, so that doesn't really help. At least I can get away with regular

My daily average around San Diego is just over 17 mpg. When I drive up to Sacramento I get about 28 mpg doing a little more than the speed limit.
On one particular stretch coming back from Sacramento. I saw 35 mpg. The section of highway was flat, I was doing 70 on cruise control, and I probably did some drafting in the slower traffic.

12-14 city and best with current mods highway was 19.5mpg. Need to get a tune on her, she's running rich with either stock or HPP III power tune
Of course, if I kept it nearer the speed limit and cut back on WOT on ramps and launches, it might be better
, but a lot less fun.

The women I got my Z28 from did the maintenance religiously and she said it still only averaged>20 mpg, since I got I have only put 5 tanks in it and I've averaged>18MPG not bad I guess if you consider that is more than half in town stop&go and majority of the time ambient temps were close to 70degrees, best I've gotten was on a short all highway trip>25 solid, that's with the LT4 knock mod throttle body bypass granatelli maf airfoil intake silencer delete 160thermo exhaust B&M shift module set to hard so I can't complain, like everyone has said want good gas mileage get an economy car
EDIT those freeway on ramps are real gas guzzlers
