Question Fuse Blown-'95 6speed

The turn signals and back-up lights are on the same 15amp fuse. When I put the car in reverse the fuse blows. Anyone ever had this problem? Presume the short is between the shifter and the tail lights??

The backup light switch is on the passenger side of the trans, not on the shifter.

this is exactly what happened to my GTO a few months back. Replaced the reverse light switch and problem solved.
