Fuel gauge

Fuel gauge

my fuel gauge is stuck on full, what do i need to do to release it or maybe change something to make it work again?

lol i drove it till i parked it at my ranch and died on its own then filled it up (also at the ranch) love 95 octane and it did nothing

is their anythign i can do with the fuel sensor in the tank??

possible it is stuck. Taking it out can be a cumbersome project. You could do the "trap door" method. Your choice.

well i dont know if this helps but when i bough tthe car it was sitting for about 4 years do to a blown headgasket and bad water pump, oh yeah and they were ford guys so they didnt care about it but it has been liek that ever since i bought it.

could it possibe be rusted in their or something??

Did they add a fuel stabilizer when it sat for so long. I do believe that fuel breaks down after a while and can become gummy or gel like.

Drive it down a rough road with the level low. Maybe it will jar the float loose, if it is stuck.

He should try driving it here in Oshkosh. I think the roads in Baghdad are better than here. These roads would jar your fillings loose.

hah! come to kentucky. damn bluegrass parkway nearly tore my suspension off my camaro....i shuddered every quarter mile going down that road and sometimes more often. it was horrible i took the truck next time I had to go to Lexington.
