Fuel gauge

Is there someway to increase the accuracy of the fuel gauge? Mine moves around when I'm driving, I guess because gas is liquid and it moves in the tank and can throw off the sensor or something. Not a huge deal, but I was just kind of wondering.

Re: Fuel gauge

Yes, there are much more accurate tank sending units, the gage is fine. The sending unit is a float on the end on a pivot arm, connected to a rheostat, not only does it move around while driving it also moves slower when full, and faster near empty.
Pro-fuel cells like "Fuel Safe" have sending units, but will require mods. to your tank. http://www.ioportracing.com/Merchant...gory_Code=FCAO

Re: Fuel gauge

I'm on my 4th GM car now and every one of them has developed the same problem. I just don't let it get below a quarter tank anymore.
