found this car...but why isn't it selling?

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=507272

this seems like a hell of a deal, but why hasn't someone bought it? when i look on ebay for these cars they are higher than hell w/ that kinda miles.
i realize that it's an A4 but that shouldn't make that much of a diference should it?

I checked Kelly Blue Book.com and if it's perfect, Private sale value is about $12,600. Screw NADA retail value. You only pay retail from a dealer. It may have low miles, but he's still a little high.

Re: found this car...but why isn't it selling?

Here's why I wouldn't buy it.
1. It is seven years old. I bought my Z28 when it was 7 years old and only paid $6K. I know, it's not a WS-6 and only has an LT1 in it.
2. To me, if I am willing to spend over $12K on a car, I am going all out and getting a brand new one off the lot. No, I am not talking about a $12K car. I am talking about $20K or higher.
3. If I wait just a couple to a few more years, I can have a fifth generation Camaro.
4. Why in 14 days has this guy gone from $15.5 to $13.7. That's $1800 he dropped the price in desperation to get rid of it. Somethings wrong.

Just my .02 as to possible reasons why someone is not jumping on it.

I paid $14,600 for my 2002 Z28 M6 which, based on his pics, appears to be in slightly better condition than this TA. 45,000 miles.

A '99 should sell for $10,000 or so.

When I bought my SS 2 months back, I paid 15,500 for it, with 22k on it, 2nd owner, brand new perfect shape, it still smells new. Seems a bit overpriced, but not that much.

Regardless of what the web site says, your not going to find a low mileage WS6 for $12K.
