floor it then clunk. ¿?

if im driving normally and i floor it or get close to it when the tranny kicks down to a lower gear to take off i hear a clunk. sounds like as if its coming from the rear of the center console. sounds almost as if an object is flying to to the back under heavy acceleration? what could this be? theses no loose objects in my car.

Sounds to me like a your tranny mount went out on ya. You should replace it asap, it's not good to have your tranny banging the floorpan and/or cross member like that. You can replace it with a stock rubber on, or a poly mount (Some say they make a lot of noise, but I haven't had that problem with mine.) Good Luck.

Just in case you want a second opinion. I agree that your tranny mount has bit the big one. $30 tops and 20 minutes of your time and you can have it done in your driveway.

The polly mounts are usually stronger than the stock rubber mounts.

the poly ones are great pieces, however many guys complain of added vibration transfered into the cockpit.

just a FYI

you can also get the 1LE piece from a dealer, which is stronger than the stock but softer than the poly

yep the new ES poly mount fixed it. thanks Now i need an aluminum driveshaft. Can barely feel any vibrations. May be because ive grown acustom to the vibrations my loudmouth exhaust exhibits.
