FedEx can eat a fat one

I'm convinced there's nothing but mouthing breathing, window licking [edit] that work in that company.
I ordered a crank at the very beginning of January. I was told Eagle was back ordered and it would be several weeks before one would be received. No problem. I can deal with that.
Crank made it to Henderson NV, on April 25. Who knows when the crank actually made it to the states before it got to NV. But it gets better:
Departed Henderson and arrived in Phoenix, AZ on 4/26. Departed Phoenix and arrived in Grove City, OH on 4/28. It then arrived in Haggerstown, MD on 5/4. Now we're getting somewhere since I live in northern VA. Oh.. BUT WAIT... WHAT'S THIS? Looks like FedEx cannot part with my crank and would like to send it to Sacramento, CA! It arrives there on 5/05. All the while my machine shop nor FedEx knew WTF it was. There was no tracking number supplied by FedEx (which I blame on my shop a bit), but when FedEx was questioned they could not come up with any answer as to why it went to so many destinations.
I didn't get this thing until 2 weeks after it's last arrival date in CA.

Here's the bonus:

That's how my shop got it. [edit] morons. Crank has already been balanced and thoroughly checked out and it's fine. But I can't really look at this pic very much for obvious reasons.

So.. FedEx... here's a bit [edit] to you window licking worthless neadrathals who bitch and cry because your job requires you to work and think a little bit.
**** ON YOU!

P.S. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section. It is supposed to be about my engine, however.

How about the lazy bastards at FedEx need to learn how to lift and place packages with consideration instead of throwing them wherever the [edit] they please. It may have been fine if it it wouldn't of taken a tour around the US. Is that Eagle's fault too?
There was ample packaging in the box. However with the abuse the box took there's no way it would've stayed in tact no matter how they packed it.

Re: FedEx can eat a fat one

I had a stock LT1 intake shipped to me via Fed Ex, when it came it was cracked in 2 places, it got to my house quick though. But FedEx isn't all bad, I had ordered some stuff from summit and they messed up my house number so the FedEx delivery guy called me and I told him my correct house number, he was right down the road.
Another story, this is from UPS though. I had ordered 4 ZR1 rims with tires mounted, and UPS lost one. When it came 2 weeks later, the rim was bent like they ran over it with a truck. Luckily it had insurance on it and it was replaced.

Re: FedEx can eat a fat one

I've received three packages from UPS that have been beat up pretty bad and my product damaged. Fedex, however, has never given me a problem. Probably just the luck of the draw. I know how aggravating it can be though.

I've never had a problem with FedEx, and only one with UPS. UPS destroyed a home sub-woofer. Brought it to the door with pieces falling out of the box and expected me to sign for it.

Re: FedEx can eat a fat one

I sent a torque converter to California on the 26 of Aug. It shows that it departed on the 28th and then to a hub on the following day. I watched the tracking info for a week and it showed nothing. I then called about it and they didn't know where it was and said they would get back to me. then on friday the 8th, it showed it was in Cali. Another week goes by, and the package was returned to me in another box. The package was never delivered to Edge converters even though it was in the same zip code, and they repacked it and sent it back to me because the original packing was damaged and the converter started to leak fluid. I will never use them again. No refund, no sorry, not even a wet kiss or spanking.

Re: FedEx can eat a fat one

Guys, I work for FedEx here at Miami Int, Airport. Us, FedEx and DHL work out of the same hangars and trust me its not pretty. We toss everything, TV's, paint, oil, glass, you name it. Im not suprised by any of your stories. If I toss something and break it, I just write down in my log that I received it torn. I then enter my log into the computer and voila! Im not responsible. Its that easy. If you saw the people that work there you would start sending your stuff via messenger pigeon. Word of advice, if you want your stuff to get there in one piece. Triple the size of the box, overfill it with peanuts and put tape around the entire box. Clear tape is really strong beleive it or not.

Re: FedEx can eat a fat one

I had my T56 shipped up to me from Orlando, Florida, to Oshawa, Ontario, using FedEx, and it actually made it in ~3 days and in 1 peice!! The tranny and all parts were well secured to the pallet though by the guy who sent it to me . Now "technically" it was supposed to be OVERNIGHT shipping, but it was customs who held up delivery, not FedEx. But for an international shipment, they wouldn't do ground freight, they could only do AIR freight (which took the price from ~$450 to ~$650 ). But whatever, I got my parts!!

Re: FedEx can eat a fat one

Fedex sucks, I have had nothing but bad news with them every time I've had to deal with them. It's to the point where I won't even buy an ebay auction if it is listed as being shipped by fedex.

I bought heads off of a guy on ebay, brand new. Shipped via fedex. Now, I have had my issues with them before that but I was getting a good deal and I figured "sure why not". Well, he told me he'd 2nd day them because I needed them in a hurry. Got the tracking number...saw no activity for an entire two days (and he had shipped them the previous afternoon) other than "Package has arrived at Fedex hub in AZ (which is where the guy brought them to).

So, two days at the AZ hub. Next day, I see "package has shipped", so already I am cutting it close. So I figure, "sweet I should have these tomorrow". Tomorrow comes, and what happens? "Could not locate customer". WHAT????? How in the hell can you not locate the customer? YOU ARE A MAILMAN! IT IS WHAT YOU DO FOR A LIVING! HOW CAN YOU NOT FIND ME!!. SO, this was on (cute) Friday. You guessed it, I heard nothing back from them that saturday, and I didnt receive the package till Monday. I had to wait a full week for this "2nd day shipping".
