Experiences with cnc-motorsports?

http://www.cnc-motorsports.com

Anyone have any experience with this company? I just had a terrible experience with them, and am wondering if it's isolated or typical for them.

nope i had a terrible experience as well

bought item off ebay IN STK

two weeks later i started calling. the first couple times they said it was shipped but could not find the tracking #

a week goes by of me calling every day and they finally admitted they were on backorder and it would be drop shipped the next day

about a week or so later i call and they say " oh we are shipping it out today"

it took about 5-6 weeks to get a throttle body, not to mention the numerous lies

My experience was a bit different. I called on Dec 20th, spoke to Clint, and ordered Manley part # 42355-8 (5/16" guideplates). He told me it was not in stock and would be drop shipped form Manley with a $20 drop ship charge. Ok, a bit expensive, but I wanted the plates before the new year, so I said ok.

Right around Christmas, the order showed up at the house, except they shipped me 42356-8 (3/8" guideplates). I called CNC back, and Clint told me that I gave him the 42356-8 part number and it was my mistake, therefore I would have to pay to send the wrong ones back and also pay another $20 drop ship charge to get the right ones!

[RANT]

I must have argued with this guy for at least 20 mins, trying to explain to him that I did not give him 42356 but gave him 42355. He continued to tell me I was wrong, and I must have gave him the wrong # because that is what he wrote down. Now, I have made mistakes before, but there is no way I gave him the wrong part number. I got this part number from Chad Golen and wrote it down on scrap paper, then I documented it in my 'parts to order' spreadsheet. There is no way I gave him a part number I didn't know existed. I checked my spreadsheet, and still have the scrap paper, and both are the 42355-8 number.

I explained this to him, and then he started getting very belittling. He told me "You know, it's OK to admit you made a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes" but when I tried to explain it was he who made the mistake, he didn't want to hear it.

I think he wrote it down, and couldn't read his own hand writing, and ordered 42356-8 from Manley. (the 5 probably looked like a 6)

So now I'm stuck with these 3/8" guideplates, and refuse to give CNC-Motorsports any more money. I would rather pay double the price and get it somewhere else then give them another penny!!

To resolve this, I called Manley and they agreed to swap these out for me. At first they said to go to the retailer I bought them from, but when I explained the situation, they had no problem dealing with me directly. MUCH better customer service at Manley!
