exhuast question

Hey guys. My borla quad tip system flows the exhaust out of only the driver's side. There is only a slight bit (hardly noticeable) coming from the passenger side. Any reasoning why that is? The current setup may bypass the muffler somehow. Its just a little annoying to have my car running so rich and have only 2 tips covered in soot...I want all 4 to be black inside!! Also, I beleive I have the closed plate on.

You answered your own question. The closed plate send all the exhaust through the muffler. So all the exhaust gases go out the driver side. Take the plate out and it will go though both sides.

I don't have the "open plate" can I order another from somewhere? I want the car to be a little louder as well as flow differently.

I could be wrong, but cant you just put the 2 exhaust sections together with no plate?

take the plate to a machine shop or a welding shop....they should have some 1/8" steel plate that they can cut to fit your needs. make a few and just drill different size holes out of the center.

the "wide open" plate would probably shift your currrent problem...99% of the exhaust will go out the other side.
