Engine wet, problems?

i was about to buy a 98 z28 with 114k miles when i found out that it was waiting to go to the mechanic....the lady at the dealership (small town) said that the engine got wet when they were washing it (i can only imagine that they were washing the engine bay).

my question is, once they "fix" the problems and the car is back on sale, would it even be worth it to buy? are there any serious problems that could be had from wetting the engine bay (besides wires, plugs, alternator, coil packs) that wouldnt show up until later?

the price is reallll good too, so im really considering it.....

i hose down my Ls1 engine bay regularly. spray it down with detergant...and then just run the hose over it with no sprayer. unlike the LT1 there is no opti.

i can't imagine what the "washing" could have done. probably something else wrong first

Only thing I can think of is the fuse blocks got wet - no SES light you're probably good.
