So for a while now my car has been hard to start, and sometimes loses power completely. Tonight after shutting my car off, I noticed the CD player would stay on until I pumped the brakes, then it would flicker. Also, should the RPM's surge by about 200 when you pump the brake? (While the car is on)


More background information: The car never idles right, dies when you put it into gear. It's way worse if you have accessories turned on (Heat)

My brake booster went bad and caused problems like you said. When I would push the brake you could hear air leaking. Does this happen with you?

 

I forgot to mention, it's on my new car, cammed 98 LS1 with stall, etc.

It could be a problem with the booster, I will check tommorow, but it happens even without the brakes.

Edit: ALSO, i have noticed that pushing the brakes while the car is running makes the lights flicker.
