electrical problem

I noticed the lights (interior and headlights) on my Camaro kinda flicker when their on, when looking at the voltage meter it constantly fluctuates 1 or 2 volts really fast. I have tried reving the engine and nothing changes, any ideas?

Sounds like you have something drawing a load on the alternator like the high speed fans kicking on or a large aftermarket stereo. Either that or your alternator is weak. Try turning off some accesories like the radio, a/c things like that. You would probably notice this the most if you were listening to the radio at night while it was raining and you had the a/c or heater on at full blast.

I have the same problem with my 2002 Z. no matter what i have on or off, it flickers every once in a while. only my volt meter doesn't move. it goes away when i actually turn the headlight switch on. just my two cents.

Is this a different problem than this one?
