Question Driver's side window express down not working!

On my 1997 Camaro Z28 my Driver's side window express down is not working.
I went to a salvage yard and got another module but it still does not work I have to hold the switch till the window goes all the way down.
What else could be causing the express down not to work.
I know the motor is OK and I replaced both switches on the drivers side because they went bad on me.
It's starting to bother me because Ive been driving a friends truck and his works and mine won't.
I hope somebody can clue me in on what might be the problem.
Thanks,

I believe the drivers side and the passenger have different switchs and on one of my cars it shows a different picture to show it will go all the way down once you start. I guess you have a passenger side switch on the drivers side.

Sorry about that I meant to say that I replaced the two switches on the drivers side because that's the only way to buy the drivers side switch.
One day the drivers side window would not go up and it ended up being the switch.
But after I replaced the switch the express down would not work.
Thanks,

The new module could be bad. Make sure all the connections on the module are tight. The only other thing it could be is a wiring issue.

as someone told me when mine started doing this last year.... your power window motor is on its way out...

about 3 months after my auto window started randomly not working, the window was rolled down at a car show, i got home went to roll it up, and it was dead.

how do you know the motor is ok? my car's window motor worked fine it just wouldnt go down automatically, then a few months later, it died

I think you're mixing things.. if the window does not move properly, is the motor going south. If only the express down feature is not working, the module that controls that is under the glovebox, near the tranny tunnel I think, opposite to the BCM.

Crazyperguratory, Take a look a shbox's schematic http://shbox.com/1/pwr_window_schematic.jpg .The window module magically senses that the drivers side switch has been held on (express mode) and picks the express down relay. Could try replacing the relay. Also as said in earlier post - bad motor or ECB, if the motor is drawing to much current -OR- the ECB (Electronic Circuit Breaker) built into the motor thinks so, it will increase resistance, the module then thinks it's stalled at the end of travel (all the way down or bound up) and it will disengage the express relay. However this should also show up as stops in manual mode, but thats in theory not practicality.. good luck.
