Door Lock Malfunctioning?

Well, I just got my Astra 777 Keyless Entry/Alarm installed. And even before the installation I noticed a problem with my driver side power door lock.

When I shut the car off the doors are supposed to unlock, but if the Driver side door is manually locked while driving it doesn't come unlocked when shutting the car off. Basically, the only way to get the door lock to work is by locking it manually, and unlocking it with the key. The Keyless entry is hooked up fine and working correctly for the passenger side, just the driver side is being goofy.

I would like to hear some suggestions and possible problems before I tear apart the door panel on my day off Saturday, now that I have keyless entry I would like it to work so I can install my dang smoothlocks due to overly scratched door locks that look like crap lol.

Re: Door Lock Malfunctioning?

You might have a bad actuator. Mine would lock under power, but the only way to unlock it was manually or with the key.

Thanks Smoknta, I'm gonna have to check that out... sounds like it could be the problem.
