Door latch question

Is there a way to kind of tighten the door latch? On my doors it seems like there is a little bit of "play area" before the latch engages, there in my friends' newer camaros, that's not the case. Might sound like a stupid question and an "If it ain't broke don't fix it" question, but I was just wondering.

Re: Door latch question

Most latches and striker bolts have the ability to adjust.. Just barely loosen the bolts... First mark your original position first for reference...

Re: Door latch question

Ok, I figured it out today, real easy.
1. Take the door panel off
2. Pull back the weather protector on the driver's side
3. Pop out the plastic piece that connects the rod from the handle to the latch
4. Thread that plastic piece DOWN the rod a couple turns till you like the feel of it
5. Pop the plastic piece back on, put the door back together

Boom, your handle is nice and tight. I took some pictures if anyone's interested, I'll email 'em to ya
