Door handle problem

The rod has detached from the outside door handle. Apparently a new clip is needed to reattach the rod. Does anyone know if the lock clip is the same as the door clip. Found this at O'riley's.

If you are talking about the little plastic retaining clips for the rod, they arent identical but it will still work. Those are pretty interchangeable from car to car so it shouldnt be to difficult

Wow, good to know. I actually bought mine (cheaper) at the dealer. Never would have thought anything would be cheaper at the dealer.

Actually, there are 4 clips in the O'Reilly package. Makes them less than a dollar each. Of course these are for GM, Ford, and Chrysler. It looks as if two, or maybe three of them will fit on my Firebird. There are also a couple of adapters in the pack that appear to fit over the **** that goes into the hole on the handle.
