Door alignment

My driver door it slightly sagging; When I close it, the bottom touches the body of the car; I guess I need to loosen it and straighten it but I have the feeling that is going to turn to hell very quick.
Has anyone realigned the door before and could tell me the right process?

yep, sounds like hinge pins to me. I'm not sure how to replace them though. Call a body shop.

either the pin is worn or the bracket is bent. is it rubbing at the front of the door at all? if so the bracket is probably bent. i have read that you cannot just replace the pins in our doors.

If you can't replace the pins, just buy new hinges.

the bottom of the door it hitting the body of the car when I close; it is very slight, but I can see it; it hits at the furthest point from the hinge.

I'll check with a body shop to see what they say

Suspect hinges are worn. If you lift the end of the door is there slop?

yes, it does; the door 're-adjusts' when touching the bottom and lifts a little bit; it basically goes a bit down when I open it

I have the same issue on my car but it isnt really just the hinges... The actual fiberglass of the door where the hinges are mounted is starting to come apart... I am going to have to replace the whole door... so just make sure to check if the fiberglass isnt cracking there

It is a 2000 but I had bought it off a guy who repaired the whole car due to a wreck in the rear. It could be some hidden damage that has finally come out do to more wear and tear on the car or I have been to rough on the door.
