Does this effect your Dyno results?
Does this effect your Dyno results?
Sawwping form a 3.23 to a 3.73 rear end? I can't recall if it was the gear swap of stall converter that effects you with a lower dyno output. If so by how many does it lower your output?
Re: Does this effect your Dyno results?
Changing gears doesn't usually affect hp/torque numbers, I tested this on my auto before running a run in 2nd gear and one in default 4th gear, hp and torque came out the same.
Putting a stall in will change the numbers though, it will be lower.

Re: Does this effect your Dyno results?
Someone posted about this quite awhile ago, supposedly he lost somewhere between 5 & 10 hp going from 3.42 to 4.10, I believe. Not really surprising, all that extra spinning will drop your hp down a bit same as bigger rims & tires, but it's how fast the car is that counts, hot the numbers.
