Does alittle heavier oil help with the Piston Slap?

Hey guys,

My LS1 has piston slap, although it does go away when warm i was curious if running alittle heavier oil might help it. Whats the heaviest weight you would run?

I don't think thicker oil will affect the sound much, but if you are having oil consumption problems then some thicker oil may help that. I run 5Qts on M1 10-30 and a 1/2 qt of M1 15-50 and my PS is horrible, but only uses 1qt after 5000 hard miles. I wouldn't suggest you go much thicker than a 30 weight.
