do they have the same bolt pattern and parking brake setup? i know how cheap gm is when it comes to changes but i figured i would ask before i bought it.

 

Yeah it bolts right up, you can drill extra holes for a more rigid setup. Your 96 has less hole, but as long as you stay automatic or standard (whatever you have), it'll fit. You'll have a hole where the old one holds cd's though.

well if it only leaves the cd tray out that will be a great spot for the tranny temp gauge.
