defroster?
defroster?
I think my rear window defroster has gone bad...if that is possible. At one point in time it would practically burn the moisture off of the window, now this morning in the it was barely doing anything..Any ideas? I've already checked to make sure the wiring was connected..TIA
Re: defroster?
If I'm not mistaken there's a timer built into the defrost switch that can over tiem stop working right (the on/off cycles get out of whack) and I'm sure that over time the defrost elements themselves on the window can stop working right, either too much resistance or a break in the circuit somewhere
Re: defroster?
Yea, my defroster will turn off by itself after having it on not too long at all. And I always have to keep turning it back on, gets really anoying. How in the world could I go about fixing it?
Re: defroster?
it comes on...it just takes forever to defrost the window..it seems to run the same amount of time it always has...it is just becoming less effective...i hope solving the problem doesn't mean replacing the glass

That post was meant for 96ZCamaro's problem, not yours.
You remove the breaker and install the fuse in it's place.
