Anyone have any good suggestions on how to get rid of those annoying dashboard rattles that plague almost ever f body?

 

It aint easy.

Start by taking the dash all apart and go for a ride.

Have a friend drive.

Look for rattles and make notes on how to fix them.

Reinstall a few pieces and go for another ride.

Lather, rinse repeat.

 

that sucks all sorts of D! there is not ghetto way...such as putting some foam pads up there?

 

subframe connectors help a lot. Beyond that, get some pieces of foam and stuff them between the dash pad and the underneath where it contacts, it will take a lot of time, but trial and error.

 

you just need a socket and some time. just tighten everything up. but be careful, the dash can be fragile.

 

i have SFC's, but they didnt help too much...im just gonna start taking thing apart...tightning, an puttin padding there...arggg

 

where should i start taking things apart...i really dont want to take the dash out.

 

Dash-rattles in F-bodies give them character...kinda like the characters in Queer Eye for the Straight Guy....straight-up gay.

thats the only thing that pisses me off...its the little rattles. got some under the dash. drivers seat rattles. drivers side speaker rattles...arg
