Cruise Control Problems

Allright, this isn't a Camaro Question, but I have a camaro and it's a chevy that's messed up, so plz don't flame me..

I have a 96 Chevy Tahoe, The cruise Control just started messing up.. When I set the cruise control, It holds the speed but not for long, as it's trying to hold the speed I hear a clicking sound from under the dash. When I turn the cruise control off, there is a sound like my ABS is going nuts kinda like a big spring making a boing noise, from under my dash.. What's making that noise? Why isn't the cruise control working.. Any one got ideas for me to try? I want this fixed.. I can't keep a constant foot on the pedal for holding speeds and dont' want to get a ticket..

Re: Cruise Control Problems

I guess it could be a cruise control unit.. How do I check to see if that is the problem? Or maybe a vacuum line, does my truck still run off vacuum for cruise control?

Check to see if the diafram is holding a vacuum.
