my buddy just got one of these new crossfires (2005) stock except for exhaust...just wondering when we race who would be more likely to win?

Does it have the 215HP base engine, or is it the SRT-6 with the 330HP S/C'd Mercedes 3.5L AMG engine? The SRT-6 was a $50,000 car and is a 13-second ride.

depends on the race....a drag you should kill him...a flat road race at a track he might catch up in some corners but you should have a pretty bad jump on him coming out of them.

My dad has had 3 of the Crossfires; 2 coupes and a 'vert (1 year corporate leases). You will spank him in straight line acceleration, but those Crossfires are amazing in corners! If you are talking about a road course then I would say that the straight line acceleration advantage would probably give you enough of an advantage to win.

I remember reading that their chassis is stiffer than a Porche 911 - true or not I had a blast using the Crossfire for autocross and on winding roads.
