zz4 with a TH350 and 4.56 geats....about 6mpg

zz4 with T56 six speed and 2.73 gears....about 30mpg

depending on your setup...anywhere in between

:blah:more info is needed

i say the LS1 has more power potential. considering a simple cam upgrade and associated tune can have you making 450hp at the crank with stock heads. and still be running 20-25mpg on the highway depending on the trans and rear.

my setup...granted in a 4th gen...is putting about 400hp to the wheels now that it has a good clutch and other goodies since the dyno run...and i get 18/24 city/highway

ZZ4 is a good motor, but it's an apples to oranges comparison to an LS1. Much cheaper, easier installation, but heavier, less powerful.

Re: Crate Engine with Twin Screw S/C

a well matched heads/cam LS1 would make that amount of power.

520 crank hp is about 440 at the wheels give or take.
