Cracked dash

On my Camaro i have the common problem of a cracked dash. When i first bought my car, one of my friends told me to replace it the windshield and dash had to be removed. Is that true? It doesnt look like it does but you never know, and i have never tried. If it is to much trouble to replace it I'll just try and find i nice looking mat but im hoping to replace the dash. Thanks.

Re: Cracked dash

You remove the a-pillar covers and then you can pull the dash cover off. It is held on by velcro.

I put a black mat over mine and it almost totally eliminates the glare on the windshield from the plastic dash.

Re: Cracked dash

Same here...bought a dash mat.

Why bother with the same crummy factory piece for ~$150 when the cracks will happen again anyway?

Clean up all the cracked mess and cover it up.
