Coolant light on with full coolant system

Got a 95 lt1 and the low coolant light keeps coming on and off at about 10 to 15 minute intervals weather it's at speed or not what I've checked the coolant and it is not low what sensor could be faulty and where is it?

It could be the coolant sensor or a short (since you say it is coming on and off). The sensor is attached to the radiator, engine side, about 3-4 inches below the radiator cap.

Re: Coolant light on with full coolant system

Where are you checking the coolant level? You can’t rely on the dipstick in the reservoir. You have to check the level in the radiator when it’s not real hot (to avoid boil over or getting scalded). Should be full, right up to the fill neck at all times. Any air in the LT1 cooling system can cause overheating and eventually, a blown head gasket.

A faulty coolant level sensor is a very common problem. Can get full of crud, or the coolant penetrates the seal and corrodes the printed circuit board. But be sure you are checking the level in the correct location.
