Constant Voltage at PWR ACCY Fuse..

Well I have had a drain for awhile now I just never had time to set aside to dig into the hunt for a drain. Well trying to find it and so far the only thing I have found that is not as it should be is the PWR ACCY Fuse.

I have a constant 12 volts to it at all times. I have checked it off and on all day while hunting and it always has power. The service manual says this fuse should only be hot while in the ACCY, RUN position or while in RAP.

Any ideas why this fuse would have constant power? I have spent a good portion of the day probing, forum searching but haven't found anything yet.

Thanks!

There are two spade lugs in the fuse block at the end of the dash. The one labeled "IGN" is switched (on/off with ignition). It was always my understading that the "ACCY" was not switched. I never tried the ACCY lug, because the IGN lug worked for my purposes (powering gauges and nitrous components only when ignition switch is "on").

Well I am not looking for a 12v constant power source. I am trying to find out why my PWR ACCY fuse has constant power when it shouldn't by what the service manual says.

I do not have any aftermarket subs or added equipment,

Thanks!

I would suspect that a relay in the RAP module was stuck (or some other input to the RAP is making it stay closed). The RAP feeds the PWR ACCY fuse.

Oh ok, I wasn't sure if that is where the power came from. I think something has been up with my RAP module because over the past few years of owning the car the radio has never gone off on it's own. However when I power the radio off manually there is a click behind the dash.

So maybe that is the problem.

Thanks!

Well, got a known working RAP module and it did not fix the problem. However, I did find two wires that were crossed and that seems to have fixed the issue. Now power is off after 35 sec. and the accys that are suppose to not function don't.

The only issue I see now is that I put the stock radio back in and at any time you can push the volume button and the clock pops up but then goes away. However, once the car is turned to run or accy that is still all it does. The radio never actually comes on where you can tune it or listen to stations. I have constant power at the orange wire, voltage at the yellow wire when key is on or accy and no power to yellow wire after car is off and door is opened.

Thanks!
