clutch help

Wondering if anyone can help with this. I have a 1995 z28 that had a Mcleod twin disk with aluminum flywheel that wore out uneven and rater then send it back and wait i wanted to go stock again for now. I oredered a Valeo clutch kit#5280228 and Pioneer flywheel fw119. My transmission company said it too long and needs to be shorter to work. They ordered another clutch and flywheel to see if dimensions were different but they were the same. Anyone have any ideas what going on? Talked to valeo and Mcleod and both say it should work with new fly wheel and clutch but machanic said it wont clutch too far out to shift. Here a pic of new valeo and original mcleod. Thanks

Re: clutch help

Flywheel, friction disk, and pressure plate should be spec'd specifically for the vehicle so there is no question. Something seems off.

I just replaced my clutch kit with a SPEC Stage 2+ and didn't have any issues aside from getting the guide pins lined up on the bellhousing when reinstalling the transmission.
