Clearance problems with Borla Cat-Back???

the car is a 01 Z-28. I was under it today putting on a new panhard rod and the amount of room over the rear axle is limited. The car has Eibach Proline springs. Will my un-installed Bola cat-back work without hitting the axle or undercarriage? Thanks.

I don't have springs but I have noticed that it is a little close.. You can allways dimple the pipe if you have cl. problems...slightly ding it w/ a ball peen hammer enough to clear axles or components...as long as it's not too much...As mine is set up I have a slight rattle at about 2k at cruising speed..don't really notice unless windows are up and the tops are on..

I hate the idea of banging on pipes to make them fit. It kind of destroys the mandrel bending and free flowing of the system IMO.

I wouldn't think that dinging it w/ a hammer would really effect performance that much...I could see if you really went and smashed it, down 1/4 size of the pipe....Ever heard of dimpling headers?

I love the Borla setup...mabie one of these days, I'll try a GMMG..
