I'm sure that would work - I'd just be afraid of some random reaction...idk, just said TB cleaner since it seemed least likely to hurt anything and be on the safe side.

You can clean the wires with a Q-tip drenched in QD cleaner if you are EXTREMELY gentle. As for how much it effects performance... I had a '95 9C1 Caprice with an LT1 that wouldn't even turn the tires after a set of 3.73's was installed and it was tuned by PCMForless. I was told to clean the MAF and when I did... holy hell it was like night and day! DEFINITELY clean it if you have a K&N installed. And don't over oil your K&N either.
