Cigarette lighter power source
Cigarette lighter power source
A search brought nothing to me, so I've got a quick question...
My cig. lighter and the power outlet both don't have wires going to them, so i was wondering where I could draw power from to splice in some wiring to get these functional. There aren't any loose wires, they're just completely gone from something the original owner did I assume. Thanks

it is connected to the fuse block as an Always hot lead (connected straight to battery) You should be able to look at the block and see if there is a wire for it using a wiring diagram, since it has it's own fuse.
there wasn't a need to check the fuse, as i took the center console out to discover there weren't any wires leading to the outlets themselves. I'm about to go check out the fuse block to see if I see any wires (think I saw they're orange?) though, thanks for the replies.
haha yea word; i checked the fuse box and didnt really find anything abnormal, but I really don't care whether or not its a hot lead or not. I don't really plan on using the power sources unless I'm in the car driving anyway so the ignition will be on regardless. I'm sure there is some place that I could get some power from, so what would be everyone's best suggestions to splice into (or whatever else you think is better)..
The best place would be where it was originally, the fuse block. Just splice into the CIG fuse. If you want to change the cigarette lighter to a 12v switched source, you could just pull it from the 12v switched wire on your radio harness.
