Resently my friends car failed his e-check he got a new exhaust and passed. But when I mentioned it to another friend he said all you need to do is add a bit of kerosen to the gas and youll pass no problem. You guys think this is true? Cause i dont see how just adding something to your gas could help.

 

why did it fail. Too much of a particular gas or what? Just telling us it failed doesn't tell us anything we need to know why if failed.

 

No he passed he got a new exhaust but i wanted to know that if you add kerosen to gas will it really "cheat" the e-check by lowering emmisions out put
