car died and wont start

Newbie here, enfuegoz28 is a friend of mine and he said yougise would be able to help me out.

Heres wat happened...
The car started to lose power as if it were running out of gas but the gauge read that there was gas in the car. So I pulled over and checked for any hoses that may have come off and everything was good, so i started it back up and it started but would idle high then low all by itself then would eventually turn off. Somone told me it was the fuel pump in the gas tank so i changed that and it still diddnt work then i changed the fuel filter and that diddnt work. However when i spray starting fluid through the throtle body it starts but then it immediately shuts off again ive even tried to pop start the car and that doesnt work either. I checked to see if i was getting a spark and it was so im confused.I recently changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, pcv valve and air filter, along with the previously mentioned fuel pump and fuel filter. tia for your help

I talked to him the OP yesterday. I asked him where his gas gauge was reading and he told me it was between 1/4 and E. He was unaware of the ingenious tank design. I thought he might have just ran it out of gas. He put 2-3 gal. in and tried to start her up with no luck. It just turned over but didn't want to fire up. He also said something about not getting any fuel at the rail. He then went to work so I haven't been able to discuss it any further. As far as codes go, I am pretty sure he has not gotten the PCM read yet.

I havnt been able to check the codes because i cant find any one with the obd2 connector for the obd1 and as far as idleing goes it only turned over a couple of immediately after it broke down and i havnt been able to get it running since.

Does any one know wheter or not i can jump the connector in the 95 model to get the codes because i know in the earlier models you can put a paper clip on two of the connectors and get a code reading?

93 was the last year of the pin jumping, you'll have to get a scanner.
