mainly looking to cut deeper, through that thickchunk of plastic

I have no heater fan or ac unit so it it has to do with duct work for those I've got no problem cutting into it, just need to know if I can.

This is the VHAC duct. So if you don't have a heater or AC why not just remove the whole thing. The flang is where the two halfs are bonded together. It's just plastic.

Re: Can I cut any of this stuff?

Hope I haven't mislead you. I haven't done this whole thing, only bits and pieces. Can't tell you what the wire is without the diagrams. But by it's size, my quess would be a 12V feed wire for the radio, gages, or heater/AC. It's about the same size as the cig. lighter wire, but that's usually red.
As for the boxes the big one is the computer, the chip is under the plate with the two screws. The other three are relay and accessory contol boxes. Again, I'll have to look at the diagrams, before i can identify them specificaly.

Re: Can I cut any of this stuff?

a much easier way is just to get a heat gun and heat it up and then move it down until your speaker fits.

Don't I know you from somewhere?
Yeah that 'computer' is basically what you think it is, very simple and mainly does the idiot lights/gauges, etc.

As for that black wire...who knows..that thing could have been put there by who knows for who knows what reason.

You could pop out the windshield to get to the screws and stuff for the upper dash duct work..you can break it, bend it, whatever since going in the trash...just don't jack up your dash.

If it looks too bad to pull that stuff you could get a dremel tool in there and notch it out like crazy.

I guess i'll just cut as much out as I can, i'd like to remove it but I dont wanna take the windshield out and I dont knwo where the duct is screwed in.

Re: Can I cut any of this stuff?

Friday, August 26th(day 8):

I have dioscovered screws holding the VHAC in, 5 that I know of but there may be more.

After removing 2 and lossening 1 I hacked away at the VHAC to take out frustrations. I also believe the VHAC is made of 6 main pieces.

Water and bread supply is low and the sun is uncloaked by clouds, dont know how much more I can stand.
