Hello, havent been bothering you guys for awhile--on my 97 z28 i dont think my fans are working--my a/c is out-does that have anything to do with my fans not coming on? I know in the past when sitting in trafffic and temp went up i read here to turn a/c on to start fans and it worked-- now my a/c does not cool--comes on,but not cool and im pretty sure my fans dont come on--no temp problem now,but they need to be ready Thanks Dwayne

 

How hot does it get? Low speed fans don't come on until 226*F, high speed at 235*F. You shouldn't have to turn on the A/C to keep it below that temp.

 

The fans won't come on with the a/c if the a/c compressor has been disabled by the computer for lack of charge, but the fans will still operate normally by temperature when needed.

 

Sorry working graveyard this week--i know your working on weak info here-but i know i used to hear a wrrring sound stop right after i pull in drive way and turn off car--i have been in my drive way, trying to make the neighbors think i know what i am doing with the car running and car gets hot but no fans--did the relay swap with the fog lights--ok--i just really got thinking about it and was wondering since my air does not cool and when they did, they would start my fans in stop & go traffic--basically i didnt want to waste time with the fans switches etc if it was a a/c issue not working--Thanks Dwayne
