I've got a '93 Z28 that has a problem with the air conditioning system. The problem is, that when I try to turn it on the compressor never kicks in and the air coming through the dash is basically vented air...If I remove the relay for the a/c compressor under the hood and jump the B1 and B4 connectors with a piece of wire, it comes on and blows cold. I've added a couple cans (approx 25oz) of r134a refridgerant with stop leak to the system with a cheapo walmart recharge kit, and yet the damn a/c compressor refuses to turn on unless the relay is removed+jumped...

so how much refridgerant does the system hold (in ounces?)?

how do i fix this problem? (without spending $600-900 for some radiator shop to replace everything)
