a/c evap sensor

The dtc 71 came up on the datamaster, and that is the a/c evap sensor failed. How hard is it to replace this sensor? If anyone knows where I can find a step by step, that would be very helpful.

No cold air blowing out. We recharged the a/c, and checked everything else. I thought at first it had something to do with the wiring harness, because there was no service light wasn't on, and I hooked the datamaster up to the car, turned on the a/c and this dtc 71 came on. Says it's the a/c evap sensor.

I didn't replace the evap sensor. That's the error I am getting and I'm wanting to replace. Is it hard?

If you are refering to the a/c refrigerant pressure sensor it is located in the a/c line from the evap to the dryer...just unplug the connector and unthread it...the part number is 22664328 $55.45 Canadian...hope this helps...

The evaporator sensor is stuck in the fins of the evaporator under the dash. Heck, it might just be unplugged.

That would help alot. That could be it. Is the plug wire a part of the wiring harness?

It plugs into the harness that comes from the computer. (remember, you can click on sections of that pic to zoom in)
