A/C Compressor

Hey guys,
I have a DTC for my A/C compressor clutch, obviously my A/C doesn't work either. My question is how much is a new A/C Compressor? and how hard is it to change out? Anyone have a how-to for it? Thanks.

Re: A/C Compressor

most of the time it isnt the compressor itself that goes bad. it is the clutch on it. turn on your ac and see if the clutch engages, if not you can get a clutch from autozone for 107.00 a new compressor is like 350

Re: A/C Compressor

Many things will keep a clutch from engaging...low refrigerant for example. Doesn't necessarily mean the clutch is bad.

Re: A/C Compressor

too much R-134a and the computer will sense that you've over-pressurized the system and won't engage the a/c clutch.
