Borla XR1 Race Muffler Experiences

Have any of you guys had experiences with Borla XR1 Race Muflers? I am looking to replace the resonator on my loudmouth with one. I do not want a restrictive muffler, but I would like to quiet it down some, Longtubes+ORY+Loudmouth and gears on the highway is too loud. I was going to go with a Borla 3.5" 5" RoundXR1 Race Muffler with stainless pipe replacing the resonator.

Tell me what you think.

I have a pair of oval 3" x 12" XR1 bolted on my collectors, and they do very little in the way of quieting down the exhaust.

Re: Borla XR1 Race Muffler Experiences

I replaced my LM resonator with exact same XR1 you are thinking about. It is quieter, than before, not too much though. Amazingly without quieting things down it completely eliminated exhaust rasp. I have Hooker Super Comps, cats, btw. Another thing - I lost a bit of ground clearance with XR1. But it's build quality is very good - I hit it couple of times pretty hard on a bump, and it's still there
