OMG there goes the ozone.....

I bought some Seafoam for my Camaro and my Jeep Wrangler.
I did the Jeep first by pouring the stuff down the throttle body. The jury is still out on if I will do the Camaro. I really wish the neighbors were not outside when I did this, I really thought they were gonna run for cover.

The jumbojet size mushroom cloud of white exhaust smoke is impressive . I dont think a million smoke bombs could have topped it.The garage smoke detectors went off the whole time as well.

I think the next time I do this it will be around 1 o'clock in the morning as to avoid raising so much hell.

Seafoam is cool.
I just thought I would share my lovely experience.

Nice. Seafoam has to this day made some of the most incredible smoke shows I've ever seen

I will bet money this is how they got the truck to smoke like it did in Cheech & Chongs "up in smoke".

Was the engine at full operating temp?

It has the possible side effect of fouling your O2 sensors. Right before you replace them might be a good time to use the cleaner.

okay im a little stupid when it comes to this i have never heard of such a thing. so do you put this threw the intake or in the gas or what? do you guys feel it really works or is it like engine restore( the only thing engine restore did to my truck was cost me a new oil presure sensor) and could it hurt your engine

Re: OMG there goes the ozone.....

it says you are supposed to mix it with gas and that a can will treat like 16 gallons or something.. it works nice for breaking up carbon deposits on the valves in in the cyl. although it is never a super good deal to use it on a really old engine since it could break off a piece of carbon and fubar a valve

Is there any way to do it with the O2's removed?
Any other possible side effects?

no. you take your o2's out, you're messin w/ your mixture. Car won't run. Or it'll run like crap, and good luck getting it started w/ seafom in the engine and the 02's disconnected.

Re: OMG there goes the ozone.....

So the safest way to do it is to have some expendable O2's that you install when using the Seafoam. Damn I wish I did not throw my old ones away.

Re: OMG there goes the ozone.....

the car will run fine with the o2 sensors disconnected, but your gas mileage will suck. if you took them out, i would be more worried about exhaust/seafoam/garbage spraying all over the transmission or wherever your o2 bungs are located. the o2 sensors are not used for a certain amount of time after startup, depending on engine conditions.

and from my measurements, mileage is about 13 mpg with o2's disconnected.
