Blower or boost gauge
Blower or boost gauge
I have used the search feature and looked at 100 threads, trying to find some answers to my questions. I have a 94 trans am with a procharger p-1sc-1. Im looking to install a gauge. Should i use a blower gauge or a boost vacum gauge, Mech or electrical, im assuming a boost gauge is easier to install, what is involved in installing a blower gauge
They are very similar gauges. Do you want to be able to see both intake manifold vacuum, and intake manifold pressure? Or do you only want to see the pressure (boost) at the outlet of the blower?
The install is going to be very similar.... connect to a full vacuum port on the side of the intake manifold for a boost/vacuum gauge, or to a pressure tap on the outlet ducting for the blower. Mechanical you run a hose from the port to the gauge. Electrical, you attach a pressure sensor to the port, and run wires to the gauge.
